How your baby's growing

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.See what your baby looks like this week.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.

How your life's changing

Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look
more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth. You may also notice that you can't move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it's fine to continue to exercise, but follow a few safety rules: Don't work out when you're feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don't lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you're apt to lose your balance. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and make time for both warm-up and cool-down periods. When you have your glucose-screening test at 24 to 28 weeks, a second tube of blood may be taken at the same time to check for anemia. If blood tests show that you have iron-deficiency anemia (the most common type of anemia), your caregiver will probably recommend that you take an iron supplement.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOU
Itch, itch, itch. Your abdominal skin, which is being drawn taut, may be driving you crazy. Try massaging your skin with olive oil or cocoa butter, if not allergic. If persistent itching continues, be sure to mention to your care provider. It could be "PUPP" (pruritic urticarial papules and placques of pregnancy), the most common of all pregnancy skin conditions, or rarely, associated with a serious liver condition. (mmg dok gatal pun skrg ni..kat perut le..dok sapu bio oil je)

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY
Your baby weighs one pound, nine ounces, and measures 22 centimeters crown-to-rump. Your baby's ears are fully functional now, and he or she may even blink in reaction to a loud noise. The brain is growing rapidly. If you could look inside your uterus, you'd see a well-proportioned head and body. Your baby's first meconium stool has been formed in the large intestine and will be excreted in the days following the birth. Some babies will pass some meconium in the amniotic fluid before the birth. This would require suctioning at the time of your baby's birth.

EATING FOR TWO
Some women suffer from constipation and hemorrhoids during pregnancy. Taking 25 milligrams of vitamin B6 at each meal for several days may help clear up hemorrhoids. Here are some high-fiber foods that may also help to alleviate these conditions:
3 dried figs: 10 grams fiber
1 cup baked beans: 8 grams fiber
1 baked yam: 7 grams fiber
1 cup kidney beans: 7 grams fiber
1 cup raisin bran: 5 grams fiber
3 cup popcorn: 3 grams fiber
1 cup brown rice: 3 grams fiber

Mmg dok alami masalah sembelit ni..tp kdg2 jela..kdg2 pun jd mcm seksa jugak..nk mkn prune xlalu..dh 2hari ni mkn grapefruit mcm ok je..lepas ni kena cari dr sumber lain pulak la...xlalu dah...ubat yg doktor bg pun ade..tp xmkn sgt sbb xmo bergantung kt ubat sgt..

Brg2 baby rasanya mcm dh takde ape nk beli..cuma xtau la kalau tergatal tgn nk beli baju lagi hehe. Brg mama pun dlm 90% dh beli. Ada lagi yg nk kena beli ni sbb mcm ada beberapa benda je nk kena bwk seminggu kat wad. Sabtu ni nk gi check up..nk tanye la nurse kat situ (bukan daku la tanye..hubby ku la tanye hehe). Dlm homepage mcm dh ade tulis situ..tp nk confirmkan betul2. Senang cari awal2..kang kot ade benda pelik2 kena bwk kang hehe...Kena pk jugak beberapa soalan nk tanya doktor nanti..kena ckp dgn hubbyku siap2..nk tanye sendiri tak tau le nk menyusun ayat dgn betul. Soalan yg paling nk tanya...betul ke baby boy??hahaha..bukan sbb apa..sbb nk cari nama...selain dr tu mau tanye jugak berat baby dh berapa...kedudukan uri masih kebawah ke..risau jugak ni sbb dulu doktor ckp 'low placenta'...tp masih ok doktor tu ckp hari tu...Harap2 semuanya ok..
